Two Decades of Manufacturing Excellence
KAP's garment accessories business commenced operations in 2004, as a proprietorship of Ruwan Attanayake. Starting as a trading operation importing accessories to buyer specifications, we quickly identified the opportunity to create more value through direct manufacturing.
In 2007, Ruwan ventured into manufacturing, establishing a plant in Okanduwa, Bandaragama. Starting with a single product — twill tapes — the range grew steadily to include the full suite of accessories we produce today.
In 2022 — a milestone year — we expanded our operations significantly, introducing a new elastic product line and relocating our manufacturing facility to a larger, purpose-built space in Horana, at the heart of Sri Lanka's industrial hub.
